Meet Our Pastor  Pastor Doug Taylor is the 3rd of three children, born to Mr. and Mrs. B. H. Taylor. He is also the husband of Shay Taylor, and father of Jailyn and Myles.  Since 1995, Pastor Taylor has been used widely in the public school systems to impart wisdom and purpose into the lives of Birmingham's youth. At an early age, he was introduced to "church life" and was used in many different arenas of church leadership in his local church. In 1997, after hearing the voice of God, he accepted his call to minister God's Word, and was shortly baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost, one of his most memorable encounters with God. He then began to "sharpen his gift" in roles such as Youth Pastor and later heeded the voice of God to "leave his kindred, his kind, and his country", and leave the comfort of the church he had always known, to accept an Assistant Pastor role in a developing ministry. The time spent as a part of this ministry, greatly influenced his drive for a spirit of excellence for every church. God also began to show him a view of ministry with wisdom that is uncommon for his age. On August 22nd, 1999, at 2:30 a.m., God gave Pastor Taylor a vision of the ministry that would be birthed through his loins. After almost 2 years of preparation, and nurturing, God brought forth His plan with power and glory. April 1st, 2001 served as the manifestation of this 2 year process and Pastor Taylor currently stands as Founder and Pastor of Rebirth Christian Fellowship. He frequently jokes that the ministry was started with four members, he, his wife, and their two children. Since then, many have stood in awe of the presence and power of God to heal, restore, and deliver. Through a firm teaching ministry, and a heart for God, Pastor Taylor has allowed God to use him to show others the light of God, and the restorative love of our Saviour. Pastor Taylor has made it his life's goal to see "God's kingdom, and His will be done, on earth as it is in heaven." One of the passages that most inspires Pastor Taylor in his endeavors is 1 Peter 4:10-11 "As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen."
