What We Believe

We believe and teach that the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God: written by God's revelation to Holy men of old as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. (2 Peter 1.20,21). We believe and teach that there is but one God Who is infinite in power, holy in His nature, attributes and purpose: omnipotent (all-powerful), omniscient (all-knowing), omnipresent (everywhere). We teach that He revealed to us the Father in creation, the Son in redemption, and the Holy Spirit in His comforting grace that never leaves those who trust in Him. (I Corinthians 8:6; Ephesians 4:6; 2 Corinthians 5:19; Joel 2:28). We believe and teach that in Jesus Christ dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; for it pleased the Father that in Him should all the fullness dwell. (Colossians 2:9; Colossians 1:19). We believe and teach the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. We teach that He ascended on high and has sent His Spirit (the Holy Spirit, the Holy Ghost) which was poured out at Jerusalem over 2000 years ago, and is still filling the hearts of those who diligently seek Him today. (Acts 2:14). We believe and teach that baptism is in the water by immersion in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; we further believe in the baptism of the Holy Ghost, with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. (Acts 2:4, 38).

Pastor Doug Taylor

Pastor Doug Taylor is the 3rd of three children, born to Mr. and Mrs. B. H. Taylor. He is also the husband of Shay Taylor, and father of Jailyn and Myles. Since 1995, Pastor Taylor has been used widely in the public school systems to impart wisdom and purpose into the lives of Birmingham's youth. At an early age, he was introduced to "church life" and was used in many different arenas of church leadership in his local church. In 1997, after hearing the voice of God, he accepted his call to minister God's Word, and was shortly baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost, one of his most memorable encounters with God. He then began to "sharpen his gift" in roles such as Youth Pastor and later heeded the voice of God to "leave his kindred, his kind, and his country", and leave the comfort of the church he had always known, to accept an Assistant Pastor role in a developing ministry. The time spent as a part of this ministry, greatly influenced his drive for a spirit of excellence for every church. God also began to show him a view of ministry with wisdom that is uncommon for his age. On August 22nd, 1999, at 2:30 a.m., God gave Pastor Taylor a vision of the ministry that would be birthed through his loins. After almost 2 years of preparation, and nurturing, God brought forth His plan with power and glory. April 1st, 2001 served as the manifestation of this 2 year process and Pastor Taylor currently stands as Founder and Pastor of Rebirth Christian Fellowship. He frequently jokes that the ministry was started with four members, he, his wife, and their two children. Since then, many have stood in awe of the presence and power of God to heal, restore, and deliver. Through a firm teaching ministry, and a heart for God, Pastor Taylor has allowed God to use him to show others the light of God, and the restorative love of our Saviour. Pastor Taylor has made it his life's goal to see "God's kingdom, and His will be done, on earth as it is in heaven." One of the passages that most inspires Pastor Taylor in his endeavors is 1 Peter 4:10-11 "As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen."

Lady Shay Taylor

First Lady Shay Taylor is the only daughter of Deacon Donald and Linda Stoves. She is also the wife of Pastor Doug Taylor, and mother of Jailyn Darche, and Myles Alexander. Shay Taylor is a graduate of Jacksonville State University, and has thrived in the secular world in the area of Human Resources. After being led by the Lord to walk away from it all, she has seen the reward of "following God where He can't be seen." She has been a major force in the kingdom of God for many years, and has displayed her desire to see God's kingdom come, and His will be done by serving in many capacities in the local church. Her development as a servant was made clear in April 2001, when the Lord used her to found and Co-Pastor Rebirth Christian Fellowship in Birmingham, Alabama. Since that time, God has used her warm, touchable, yet impacting teaching ministry to shape the lives of young women, and mend the hearts of the broken. Ministries of Rebirth Christian Fellowship meets every Sunday morning at 10:30 A.M. immediately following the praise and worship service in our main sanctuary in the L.I.I.F.E. Teen Sanctuary. L.I.I.F.E. Ministries is structured to meet the needs of this generation's teen. Growing up in a society that says the teenager of today is musically and materially influenced by the atmosphere they presently live in, we declare that the truth is this.. "They are God's standard for living a life intended for all believers at a early age".Creative teaching by on fire men and women of God, interactive group discussions, relevant Christian music, mentorship, modern worship and much more is what the services of L.I.I.F.E. Ministries is built on.Teens who attend come expecting not knowing what to expect. (Walking In God's Steps)Children's MinistryServing ages Six weeks - Eleven years oldI rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, and we have received a commandment from the Father. 2 John 1:4 Rebirth Christian Fellowship Children Ministry meets on Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. and Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. in the Wings Department. We take pride in the fact that our children really enjoy coming to church. The atmosphere is charged with excitement. The teachers and volunteers are loving, caring and have servant hearts. Salvation

Salvation is a free gift to us."For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; It is a gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." Romans 10:13Pray this prayer from your heart: ask Jesus to save you.Lord Jesus I am a sinner. I believe in my heart that you died for my sins. Please forgive me for my sins. Lord Jesus I know without you I will perish and by faith I ask you to please save me. Confession

Lord, today is the day that You have made, we will rejoice and be glad in it! I declare that no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and that I rise above every trap, trick or terror that satan will ever attempt to launch against me! Today is my victory day, because of the Word of God that is spoken over my life! I decide to win and be victorious because great is my God and He is so greatly to be praised! My praise is my weapon, so I choose to offer the sacrifice of praise to You now! Lord, because You are my Shepherd, I will never lack! I have more than enough, and my every need is met! I have all sufficiency in all things, and I have enough to share with others. Therefore, my family, my ministry, my leaders and my loved ones are blessed, because You bless me to be a blessing! I plead the Blood of Jesus over my family, thoughts, body and my home! Therefore, I receive life and restoration in every way! Every area that the enemy has attacked my life is being restored day by day like the eagles! So I receive power to rise above every health challenge, every financial challenge, every mental challenge, and every relational challenge! I walk in peace, wholeness, health, and victory! Hallelujah! Because there is power in my mouth, I declare that today is a soul winning session! I speak to the North, South, East and West, and say, souls come, wisdom come, breakthrough come, manifestation come! I call multitudes into the house of God, and declare that every spiritual need is met on today! Today is the day of salvation, so I lay a Kingdom claim over every hungry soul today, and I declare that they be drawn to the house of God, by the power of the Holy Spirit at work in me! Now, Father, because You cannot lie, and Your Word abounds in my heart, I shout with victory. I progress and achieve, I rejoice and receive, I expect and believe, and call it all done, in Jesus Name! Amen!
